Christmas time is here…. so, me and Serena want to suggest you a Total Look for this occasion.
Usually brown tones are used on red carpet by actresses: they want to look naturally beautiful, to have a nude look because the make-up will not notice. You need to be accurate, symmetrical and you have to give the illusion to be perfect on your face also without make-up.
Base: as always, apply on your skin a concelear to cover your blemishes, a fluid foundation and a colourless face powder; then, apply a rose blush (not a shocking pink) to intensify cheeckbones softly and in order to have your face thinner and tonic in the same time.
Eyebrow: define your eyebrows with a pencil or an eyeshadow of the same colour, to make it thicker. Don’t apply too many product because you can risk to appear hard and bad (for this reason, I suggest you to use powder). When you use a lighter or darker colour than yours, never go out too much from the natural border of your eyebrow to obtain a natural effect.
Eyes: apply a brown pencil on the upper and lower border of the eyelid, then soften it leaving a small shadow. In the external lower eyelid add a gold creamy pencil.
When the eye is open there is a fold: there, put a dark brown eye shadow and soften it to the top part, in order to create an half-moon, like people made in the 60s. In the external eyelid use a brick color powder and soften it through the centre of the eye then go up on the brown color; in the central eyelid use a pearly ochre powder; in the internal eyelid and under the eyebrow use a white powder and a pearly skin color.
Then, put mascara on each eyelash.
Lips: you can use a gloss or a neutral lipstick.
My suggest for the Christmas outfit is to look sophisticated and classical. My outfit’s choice:
– a broderie anglaise velvet bell dress by McQ Alexander McQueen;
– gold glitter court shoes (internet exclusive);
– an all wrapped up pearl bracelet by Kate Spade New York.
We hope you like it! 🙂
